Kommerzialrat Johann Braun founded the company in 1921 at the foot of Lockenhaus Castle. At first it was mainly school furniture, but from 1975 the company began to specialize in seating furniture and tables made of solid wood, bentwood, wood laminates and tubular steel. The entire object area in Austria is supplied. The company, whose customers include the “21er Haus”, “Schloss Esterhazy” and the “Kultur Kongress Zentrum” in Eisenstadt, Vienna Airport, the restaurants “Lugeck”, “Fabios” and “Motto am Fluss” as well as the “ Congress-Schladming ”count, employs 58 people. In 2005, Braun was taken over by Schneeweiss AG.  Jochen Joachims has been managing director of Braun Lockenhaus GmbH since 2008.
